Hey, it loops now!

Thought you guys might need this.

I don’t like to admit this, but I have, several times, been picked up by a cute girl with giant hands and dumped into a dinosaur mouth…

At Radiolab Live, Reggie Watts DJ’d a dance party for Robert Krulwich and a giant dinosaur.

Yes, this really happened.

Want to see the rest of the show that bred this lunacy? You’re in luck.

It kills me that I didn’t get to witness this.

This would make a beautiful painting.

Printing Dinosaurs: the Mad Science of New Paleontology

In February, Dr. Lacovara had announced that the Paleontology department at Drexel would team up with the Engineering department for what would largely be a novel new project: scanning all of the fossils in the University’s collection (including some previously unidentified dinosaurs of Lacovara’s own finds in other parts of the world) using a 3D scanner. The Engineering department would then take those scans and use a 3D printer to create 1/10 scale models of the most important bones. But, he reported, that wouldn’t be the end of it: they intended, he said, to use those scale polymer “printouts” to model and then engineer fully working limbs, complete with musculature — to create, in effect, a fully accurate robotic dinosaur leg or arm, and eventually, a complete dinosaur.

I love living in the future!

Canada to Introduce Glow-in-the-Dark Quarter

"When Canada introduced polymer bills last year to replace their paper ones, we thought – cool! Then just a few weeks ago, the Canadian government announced it was doing away with pennies as a cost-cutting measure, and we thought – seems drastic, but ok! Now they’ve announced that a new quarter to be released next week will glow in the dark. Alright – Canada’s completely lost it."

It glows in the dark AND it has a dinosaur on it.  I think it’s possible that the Royal Canadian Mint is being run by an 11-year-old boy.  And, you know what?  I think we should hire one for the United States Mint too, because that quarter is awesome.

Have a radiator? Why not have a Thermosaurus?

Yes.

I see no downside to this.
